This notice explains what personal information AMPROTEQ (Pty) Ltd collects through this website and the Savings Studio, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who is responsible
The responsible party is AMPROTEQ (Pty) Ltd, Agone House, 2nd Floor, 53 Adriana Crescent, Gateway Industrial Park, Centurion, Gauteng 0157. Questions, requests and complaints about personal information go to our Information Officer at info@amproteq.energy (subject line “POPIA request”).

We process enquiry information because you ask us to (to take steps towards a contract at your request) and with your consent, which you give with the tick-box on each form. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
3. Direct marketing
We send news or tariff briefings only if you tick the separate marketing box, and every message tells you how to stop. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing info@amproteq.energy.
4. Who sees it
Our directors and the staff working on your enquiry. Our hosting provider stores the website and form data for us under a contract that requires it to keep the data secure. If a proposal goes ahead, we share the technical details needed with the equipment manufacturer or financier involved, and tell you who they are first. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.
5. Where it is stored
The website and the Savings Studio are hosted on servers in the European Union, which is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation, a law that gives protection at least equivalent to POPIA (section 72). If that changes, we will update this notice.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for 24 months from our last contact and then deleted. Project records are kept for as long as the agreement runs and for the period tax and company law require afterwards. Server logs are kept for a short rolling period.
7. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored outside the public web folder on a server with restricted access, and attachments are checked for type and size. No method is perfect; if we become aware of a compromise that affects you, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
8. Your rights
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and for a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct, update or delete it.
- Object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time (this does not undo processing already done lawfully).
- Complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.
Send requests to info@amproteq.energy. We will confirm who you are before we act and answer within a reasonable time. Requests for access to records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) go to the same address.
9. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tags. Two things are stored in your browser and never sent to us: the website remembers in session storage that you closed the enquiry bar, and the Savings Studio keeps your project in your browser so you can return to it. Fonts and script libraries are loaded from Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr, which receive your IP address as part of delivering those files.
If we add analytics in future, they will load only after you agree in a cookie banner, and this section will list each tool.
